Yogalibrí offers yoga training, yoga therapy, and pre/post natal yoga in Trondheim. All yoga classes are inspired by the spirit of Yoga Inbound School. Inbound means “going within” or “the inward journey”. This refers to the way to became aware: firstly of the body, then the mind and finally of the spirit. Yogalibrí also offers Reiki healing sessions which follows the guidelines of the Usui Method of Natural Healing.
The Name Yogalibrí is inspired by the beauty and meaning of the hummingbird - which in Spanish is called colibrí. For me, this bird has similarities with the magical world of yoga. For ancient cultures, the hummingbird had a deep meaning. This bird was seen as a messenger of higher dimensions and a carrier of good news. Similarly, the hummingbird represents love, joy and beauty, which reminds us to change our lives into a paradise of delightful flowers, aromas and flavors and to enjoy consciously the creation and the present time. The hummingbird with its tireless flight shows vitality, always actively seeking the sweetest nectar from flowers, which invites us to look for the best in our lives and the beauty in each day.
Yoga is a path giving us the opportunity to improve our lives with the understanding that we are eternal souls and our vision of life depends on our consciousness. Yoga lets us discover the treasure within us and the beauty of the world around us.
Life has brought me from Colombia to Trondheim, Norway, where I have been living since 2013. I am curious and attracted to music, art, corporal movements, wellness and spirituality. This curiosity led me to learn Reiki, then I was initiated in the 3 levels of the Usui System of Natural Healing Reiki.
Some years later, I decided to discover this wonderful world of yoga and tried several teachers and schools. I felt attracted to Bhakti Yoga and at the same time I joined a yoga teacher training course. I completed this course at Sita Ram Yoga Inbound Academy in Colombia. The focus of my studies has been Hatha, Ashtanga, Karma, and Bhakti Yoga. Immediately afterwards I started working as yoga instructor at the same institute.
Yoga and yoga lifestyle has had a great influence on my life. In order to develop my knowledge and experience I lived and worked in a yoga ashram in Ecuador (Vrindavan Jardines Ecológicos). Here I worked as yoga teacher for guests and gained deeper knowledge in Yoga Philosophy. This beautiful farm gave me wonderful experiences which I will always keep close to my heart.
However, my curiosity does not end and for this reason at the beginning of 2016 I attended a Yoga Therapy education at Yoga Vidya Gurukul in India. This experience brought into my life new knowledge regarding the yoga processes for therapeutic uses including asana, pranayama, cleansing techniques, simple Ayurveda techniques, meditation and yoga lifestyle.
I am currently following a Health Coaching Training Program by the Institute of Integrative Nutrition.
