Yoga Therapy in Trondheim
The therapeutic use of yoga involves the application of yogic practices for the purpose of curing illnesses. Yogic practices and beliefs were not developed with the intention of treating illness; indeed, curative or therapeutic purposes are not mentioned in the Patanjali Yoga sutras.
As human behavior is changing and developing, our wellness needs are also changing. Flexible and complementary approaches can contribute to our wellness. Ancient yoga practices can be used as a flexible healing treatment in many situations. Yoga therapy can be used as the only treatment for some diseases or as a support for other curative methods as allopathic medicine, homeopathy, naturopathy and others.
The ultimate goal of yoga is the union of mind, body and spirit of human beings with the Divinity; this is the same for yoga therapy with the aim being to find the balance of these three aspects and to recover health and happiness.
How does it work?
In yoga therapy we use the different practices of yoga in the correct combination depending on the individual’s needs. This is the reason why yoga therapy works in a one to one situation and not in groups. The duration of a yoga therapy session is 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Your yoga therapy session may include
Asanas (yoga postures)
Pranayamas (breathing techniques)
...always caring for your comfort.
Yoga therapy for everybody!
Yoga therapy is suitable for everyone who wants to experience its benefits, including children, teenagers, adults, elderly people, and pregnant women in any health condition.
